Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment, or present moment awareness. There is significant evidence linking it to decreased stress and anxiety, self-awareness and positive mental health.


Roisín has been exploring and practicing mindfulness for a number of years. She has completed several courses in Mindfulness training and has attended numerous retreats. In 2015 she completed the .b training programme at the Sanctuary in Dublin and is now a qualified .b teacher with The Mindfulness in Schools Project. The .b curriculum teaches mindfulness in an engaging and interesting way, while also emphasising the experiential practices that young people can really benefit from.

Roisín is passionate about introducing teenagers to the practice of mindfulness and has had the opportunity to teach the programme to several adolescent groups. The .b programme is a fun, useful and engaging ten session mindfulness course for young people.
